I know every dialogue in the movie ‘Troy’ by heart! This scene embedded below is an epic dialogue from the movie where Prince Hector, heir to the throne, commander of the armies of Troy prepares his men for battle with this speech. This movie compelled me to research a bit about Greek mythology. With Brad Pitt as ‘Achilles’ and Chris Hemsworth playing ‘Thor’ later, Greek mythology became really fascinating. All the Greek gods are so handsome and perfectly sculpted!
The Binary Code – poem by Ruelha
All my life, I've lived by a code And the code is simple Honour the gods; love your partner, and defend your country! These three deserve utmost respect and your fidelity! All of my life, I've lived in binaries Even before I did not have diaries I seen everything as 'one' or 'zero' In hindsight, my vision may have been narrow All my life, I saw things as black or white With all the disparities and inconsistencies, despite I never considered there could be some gray I've always been exactly this way Things were either right or wrong No extending borders, once they were drawn It's either true or false Those were straight walls It's either a yes or a no Things were'nt flexible like play-doh It's either dead or alive You either can or cannot drive But today, I see so many different shades As many as the hues of green in the Everglades Even the whiteness of white is discerned by its Kelvin rating Much more than before, it has become confusing yet fascinating
