I know every dialogue from this movie by heart! This scene embedded below has some of the best dialogue deliveries. It’s epic if you understand the reference. And if you don’t, just marvel at Brad Pitt’s chiseled jawline. This movie compelled me to research a bit of Greek mythology. And then with Chris Hemsworth playing Thor later, Greek mythology became really fascinating.
From, not For victory – poem by Ruelha
I don't fight for victory I'm not a loser though, just hear me! I've not seen the end Sure, there'll be many curves and bends But I know how it ends Victorious I ascend! Somehow, anyhow, I'll be the last one standing Maybe my current performance ain't outstanding But, wait till the end Watch it all transcend I was born for victory Not in the lap of misery I won't let anyone tell me otherwise Because if I focus on them, I'll capsize Whatever I am, whatever I've been Remember, we have a St. Augustine I stand at the perfect place And see my destination in its face You know what lies there waiting beyond? Sure, some bloom late, and it may be prolonged You cross the stormy oceans and the raging seas To war with thousands of soldiers in sandy breeze But beyond that beach lies victory Although it's yet to happen; it's written in history Victory is guaranteed So fearlessly, I proceed Because I don't fight for victory I don't fight to soar unto glory I already fight from a place of victory I'm just maintaining my spot, I'm not jittery It's unfair, but I'm favoured with nepotism The Emperor's daughter I am, so there will be favouritism I am already victorious I am already glorious I know how the story ends All I've got to do is defend I don't fight to gain anything My present position I'm just protecting The crown is already upon me And I don't care if you disagree Victory is already mine to keep I'm not giving up the throne like timid sheep
