This dish can be made with prawns(shrimp) or red meat like mutton(lamb). It’s a traditional East Indian dish called ‘lonvas’. It’s somewhat like a Keralite ishtew(stew), but red and spicier. I love coconut milk-based gravies a lot. They pair so well with pan-fried South Indian or Maharashtrian flatbreads like rice appes, chittaps, neer dosa, and appams.
Ingredients:
- hard vegetables of choice, cubed {I used a single big radish. You can use anything else like peas, carrots, cauliflower, drumsticks, bottle gourd etc}
- 1″ ginger, smashed
- 1/2 pod garlic, smashed
- 3-4 slit green chilies
- Seasonings
- Oil
- East Indian Bottle masala or any other Curry powder
- flour
- 1/2 tsp white vinegar or 1 piece kokam
- 2 tbsp thick coconut milk

I hope you enjoy cooking and eating/serving my dish. Bon Appetit!
