Rainbow

My poem is inspired by a very encouraging song by Kacey Musgraves. In the song, it appears as if she’s attempting to cheer a friend and get them out of gloom or depression. But the singer admits she wrote the song to motivate herself after reading her own horoscope. This song is so melodious that even her grandmother loved it. So Kacey sang this as the final song at her grandmother’s funeral. This song instills hope with its very raw approach …just a beautiful piano and no artificial electronic inputs. Kacey intended this song to be dedicated to people from the LGBTQ community facing adversity as well. But, she hopes it uplifts the mood of any person who is discouraged. And just like all my music-inspired poems, I suggest playing the song{which I have embedded below for your convenience} in the background as you read; it truly elevates the experience!

When it rains, it pours
And you're unable to keep score
It always happens all at once
Sure, affliction comes in abundance
Nothing it will care to consider
Already in the pits, unable to weather

You've been busy dodging bullets and daggers
And you're exhausted, so your walk is staggered
But look around darling, it's over
You can get out of your bullet-proof cover
But, you didn't even notice
Because on the pain, you were focussed

But the sky is finally open
Stop hugging yourself like you're broken
It's no longer raining
You're just imagining
But the sun is shining
And it's almost blinding

There's a rainbow over your head
To understanding and learning it lead
All of it was necessary
For you to develop skills to breathe freely
And now you're able to embrace your destiny
Because of the storms and rains in your testimony

There are so many colours up there
White and green at you, they stare
It's beautiful, shiny and bright
So glad you held on rooted tight
Because all of the storms just had to happen
You had to be nutured by facing the dragons

And now, like a glistening diamond to shine
Stay rooted in clarity and magnifescence, it's time
That rainbow's always been there
You've always known it, but didn't dare
It's time to open the shades and fold that umbrella
Swap the all-weathers for ballet shoes and a performance so stellar

Lyrics of ‘Rainbow’ by Kacey Musgraves

When it rains, it pours
But you didn't even notice it ain't rainin' anymore
It's hard to breathe when all you know is
The struggle of stayin' above the risin' water line
Well, the sky has finally opened
The rain and wind stopped blowin'
But you're stuck out in the same ol' storm again
You hold tight to your umbrella
Well, darlin', I'm just tryin' to tell ya
That there's always been a rainbow hangin' over your head
If you could see what I see, you'd be blinded by the colors
Yellow, red, and orange, and green, and at least a million others
So tie up the bow, take off your coat, and take a look around
'Cause the sky has finally opened
The rain and wind stopped blowin'
But you're stuck out in the same ol' storm again
You hold tight to your umbrella
Well, darlin', I'm just tryin' to tell ya
That there's always been a rainbow hangin' over your head
Oh, tie up the bow, take off your coat, and take a look around
Everything is alright now
'Cause the sky has finally opened
The rain and wind stopped blowin'
But you're stuck out in the same ol' storm again
Let go of your umbrella
'Cause, darlin', I'm just trying to tell ya
That there's always been a rainbow hangin' over your head
Yeah, there's always been a rainbow hangin' over your head
Mm, mm, mm
It'll all be alright

Yet Sadly Human Ignorance Too Shallow to See this

Leaders of Love And Empathy These Humans Are

And When Anyone and i do mean Anyone ever Bullies them

    i Won’t Even

    Disgusting Sin of Hate And
    Ignorance Against God’s Children
of Love Comes in the Churches i Have
Attended in this Area As i Have Heard Deacon’s

Compare them to The Evil of Hurricanes As if Spreading
Warmth of the Ocean For Species Survival Is Nothing Yet Love

For the Same Way That the LGBQT+ Community Spreads Love All to Humans too

As If Elton John Love Songs Are Not Responsible For More Romantic Nights of Siring

    Indeed in Blind
    Ignorance

    Humans

    Will Be

    Of Course
    Pillaging, Raping,
    Maiming, And Killing In Very
    Non-LGBQT+ Ways Through HiSTory…

Anyway When Two Deacons At the Church
i Visit Spread that Ignorance Along with the
Myth that Single Women Are Not Fit to Raise

    Children

    Like my
    Divorced
    Mother too..

    i Sent Emails
    Similar to this to the
    Head Priest And Stopped
That True Evil Behavior Dead in its Tracks

It’s True Words Are More Powerful SWords…

Yet of Course With Ignorance They Only Go So Far
As After Gay Marriage Was Approved in the United States
The Priest Lauded Donald Trump’s Win For What He Described

    As a Country

    He No Longer

    Recognized

    Oh How

    The Ignorant Fall

    Oh How the Ignorant

Fall and Love Still Rises That’s Real….
Unconditionally of Course And More than
Just Lip Service With No Real Good Cop Jesus Soul at all…

Anyway As always thanks For the Inspiring Poem Dear Rue
