Maara toh chhaka varna koi faraq nahin padta!

This poem's for all my girlfriends out there.
You'll be able to relate because we've all been there.
It's this funny thing about men.
That keeps happening time and again.

Unke dimaag mein pata nahin kya chalta!
Muh se kabhi-kabaar kuch bhi nikalta.
Maara toh chhaka,
varna koi faraq nahin padta!

Pata nahin humarein shakal pe kya likha rehta.
Ki koi kuch bhi keh jaata.
Bas yehi sochte saare, 'maara toh chhaka,
varna koi bhi faraq nahin padta!

Nabbe pratishat jo tareef kiye jaate,
saare ke saare tharki hote.
Aur baaki ke jo das bechare,
Unko ladki patane nahin aate!

Jo tareef pe tareef karte,
bahein, unse aap door hi raheyein.
Tareef ki bhi hadd hoti hain.
All of them just want to get there.

Par aise logon ki ek khoobi hoti.
Unhe khushi nahin milti kewal daal chawal roti.
Bura nahin lagega tum kitna bhi mana kar do.
Kewal skirt mein ghusni hain unko toh!

Aison ko aap seriously mat le lo.
Hasi-mazak mein aap baat ko wahi chod do.
Unke dimaag mein yehi chalta ' maara toh chhaka,
varna unko bilkul koi faraq nahin padta.

Saalo-saal prayatna karte rahenge.
Pighal mat jaana tum, bura nahin maanenge.
Aur bees ko wahi farmaayenge.
Usmein se koi na koi toh haath aayenge.

Kyonki jo serious waale hote,
bahut alag hote hain unke tareekein.
woh sirf compliment nahin karte.
tumhari soch aur dil jo jaanne ki koshish karenge.

Bandi shaadishuda hain, committed hain...
Tumhari status ki fikar ya kadar nahin.
Bas patloon mein hain ghusna.
Maara toh chhaka, varna koi faraq nahin padta!

This poem is purely literary. Please read it with an open mind and out of respect for the written word. To me, writing is my life. There is nothing I love more. I have a very creative imagination. Most of my poems do not hint at my life/situation. Kindly refrain from drawing such parallels. Much of what I write is purely fictional. I have always written from my heart …about topics that I am passionate about – Christianity, makeup, melancholic poetry, food, romance, women’s issues, soulful music, narratives etc. Given the circumstances, my gender, situation, geography etc., I feel the need to put up a disclaimer every time I write a romantic/melancholic/intense piece. Everyone is entitled to an opinion. But, please don’t interpret this poem in a way it was not intended. That is just my humble request. Please note, some of my writings may contain material unsuitable for children, especially this one is meant to be light-hearted. It’s very colloquial, typical-Bambaiya. It’s not shudh or respectful Hindi. It’s meant to be funny, not offensive. If you attempt a literal translation, you might get confused. The main line has references to the game of cricket.

    1. Sweetie, it’s kinda crass that’s why I wasn’t too happy to translate. It’s a bit funny if you read it the way it is. Can be perceived in very negative light if I translate;)
Hope all is well with you Preeths. I’m sorry I’ve been away and unable to check your posts or respond for a while now. I’ll get to speed in a while….hopefully. 🙂
