Guess what's today? Well, it's somebody's birthday. This person is special to me. And will forever be. There ain't gonna be no balloons or decorations. And most likely, a labour of her culinary preparations. What can I say? She never gets a holiday. Well, this job she accepted. Two people really benefitted. It pays nothing. Yet smiles it brings. For all your love and care. And all the food you cook and share. And for all the times we've driven you mad. And those times that we made you sad. I truly wish. Whilst giving you a kiss... that you live a hundred more. To God I implore. Happy Birthday Mommie. I thank God in all sincerity. For all these years we've had with you. And for the times I've missed out too. Let's celebrate this gift of life. As you cut that cake with a knife.

PS: Mama, I just noticed your beach dress was quite a few inches above knee length…that too in the 70s. Why was I made to wear Sister Mary-kinda hemlines in the 90s?
