The song I have derived inspiration from features in the movie ‘Kal ho Na Ho’. The plot of this movie is just so heartbreaking. There are two people who love each other dearly. But, the boy sacrifices his love and sets her up with his best buddy and ensures they fall in love and are happy, because he is terminally ill. He does this with a lot of grace and rejects her advances without even letting her know the actual truth …just so she does not feel the pain of his demise and abandonment later. It’s a beautiful lesson on love, how it is self-sacrificing and always puts the other first. It also teaches us to appreciate every moment we live as we might not be so fortunate as to relive those moments. Life and tomorrow is never guaranteed!

Tomorrow is not guaranteed.
Yesterday, we had all we needed.
Savour these few moments.
That we have now in the present.

Life is just so unpredictable.
To find true love is like a miracle.
If you are fortunate to find someone.
Don't take for granted the outcome.

Nothing in life remains the same.
Sometimes there's joy and sometimes there's pain.
Live every moment to your heart's content.
So when you look back, you know your time was well spent.

Live by listening to your heart.
So you'll not have unfulfilled parts.
You cannot pause or stop time.
And you cannot go back and rewind.

All you have is this moment and today.
You can't guarantee the future and there's no action replay.
So hold on tight to those who love you.
Believe me the real ones are only a few.

Tomorrow may or may not be.
You don't have access to see.
So smile, live, and love today.
Tomorrow these moments could be far away.
