My mother is angry with me. I need a new strategy. If you're acquainted with me. I just want to make her smile gleefully. So here is an apology. To a sweet-but-now-grumpy lady. Oh laugh it out, mom. You know, we'll patch up and get along. She's not answering my calls And trying to ignore and stand tall. Ah, this cold war has to end. Let's just agree and make amends. You're so beautiful. Your moves are predictable. And I know you're loving. So please stop pretending. I love my mommie. Stop pretending to be grumpy. Let's just patch up. Stop acting tough. You're such a nice lady. And I'm a reflection of you only. So, if you detect a flaw. I'll open the genetics drawer. With Love and Gratitude, Don't give me so much attitude. Sincerely, your daughter - Rue. Whom you probably want to sue. Let's get back to being friends. Beginning with me making amends. See, I wrote you a poem. I think that's a good omen. xoxo -RUE www.ruelha.com Β© Copyright Protected. I wrote this poem on 20th March last month when my mom was a bit miffed with me. I laughed a whole lot while writing it. I was still working on it when we made peace. Since the moment had passed, I never ended up completing it …until now. I’m still dedicating it to you, Mama ….in advance for any future spat we may have. ;);) π
Glad to know all is resolved.

It’s always good to hold off publishing a poem like this until the heat of the moment has cooled. Great poem! J.

If you haven’t already perhaps write your mom a letter, so she can reflect on your words rather than deflect them with her ideas of how you should live. Most people go through a transition of parents accepting their children as adults with their choices. Good luck

That’s a good observation Kevin. I guess most parents find it difficult accepting their kids as adults. Good communication is key like you say….thank you. π

Indian moms! They are so dramatic and sensible. Sometimes it is tough for us to stand in their shoes and understand their feelings. Sometimes we unknowingly hurt them by our harsh words or strange attitude, and then starts the never-ending fight with our angry moms. Our new blog at Wordskraft brings the out the true essence of Indian moms, where we discuss how moms got evolved during covid to adapt themselves to this digital world, like how gossip sessions around the tution corner, is now held at watsapp groups. A group where you will get all different fun, weird, strict, overwhelming moms.
We would be pleased if you read our blog at our site at Wordskraft and let us know your thoughts on that.
