Ingredients: {serves 2-3}
For the meat balls –
- 200gms chicken mince
- 1tsp ginger garlic paste
- 1tsp soya sauce
- 1/4tsp lemon juice
- salt to taste
For the gravy –
- 1 tbsp cooking oil
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 2 medium tomatoes, chopped
- 1 green chili
- 1tsp coriander seed powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin seed powder
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 1/2 cup coriander leaves
- 1/4 cup mint leaves
- 1 tbsp. beaten yoghurt
- 1tbsp cream
- salt to taste
Instructions:
- Marinate the chicken mince with all the ingredients under the first list of ingredients.
- Keep refrigerated for some time.
- Then dredge in any flour of your choice and deep fry the meat balls gently. Drain and keep aside.
- Heat a kadhai and pour some oil into it.
- Once the oil is hot, add the onions and green chili followed by the chopped tomatoes.
- Then add the spices powders and cook for a few seconds.
- Cook a while and keep aside to cool.
- Once cool, grind it to a fine paste in your food processor along with the mint leaves and coriander leaves.
- Add this masala paste in the same kadhai with some more oil if required and cook for a while adding a little bit of water in between to prevent burning and adjusting the consistency.
- Once cooked, add the beaten yoghurt and seasonings.
- Add the cream last.
My mum made this dish a while ago. I cannot take credit for this one. I relished it though …and got you the recipe. ๐ I hope you enjoy cooking and serving/eating this dish.
