Today has been one of my 'fat days'.
And I feel a sense of malaise.
Okay, it's not just today.
But even yesterday!
I ate and ate away.
Like tomorrow would be starvation day.
I can still taste chocolate in my breath.
I'm quite unsure if I even regret.
Over a thousand calories in excess.
Each of these days, so I've piled on a debt.
So much for my healthy week.
I've got such a bad technique.
The funny thing is - I still feel hungry.
Though I've been eating continuously.
The last few hours, non-stop you see.
This is what butter chicken and chocolate does to me.
I also ate an entire big box of chocolate chip cookies.
And I cooked everything exclusively in ghee.
I'm the one buying chicken skin shamelessly.
When everyone else makes the butcher trim their meat wastefully.
I love the fatty juicy cuts and skin.
While the world queues up for lean cuts to remain thin.
Truth be told, it's never the fats that scare me.
But the simple, refined, processed carbs I chugged down, you see.
Instant noodles with their nutrient-void calories.
I'm not even talking about the nutritious nuts and watermelon in my food diaries.
I just ate so much junk these two days.
With no sign or inclination towards any activity.
Once or twice a week, I have my 'fat days'.
I need some determination to stop this craze.
I understand a cheat day is fine.
And I prefer a high carb meal at specific times.
Just before my excuse-of-a-workout each day.
That's when I pile on the calories away.
It gives me energy to maintain form.
And helps me to continue a little bit long.
But inactive lethargic days like these.
Devoid of any real activities.
Oh dear, I need more outdoor jobs.
That restrict my access to food in gobs.

I’VE SEEN ONE OR TWO COOKING SHOWS USE GHEE.

I love ghee. I use it often. It has a lot of saturated fat so many void it. But, I believe it’s better than refined oils and it tastes delicious to me. It’s got a milky and nutty, soothing creamy taste and texture that balances strong spices especially.

Sometimes you need to enjoy yourself. And even if you gained some, it doesn’t mean you’re a failure or not perfect.

I’m one to understand that life happens. I also don’t believe a woman becomes ugly if she gains weight.

You are absolutely right there John. A woman doesn’t become ugly if she get’s fat. It’s a matter of choice – my body, my territory. Absolutely.
This is what I want, so I’m gonna try a bit. Wish me luck, John 🙂 🙂 🙂
