There is something I find rather disconcerting.
I see all you humans struggling and working.
But not for food, shelter, clothing.
Over invaluable things to be gloating.
That shiny thing ain't no carrot.
And it's not even pleasing my palette.
I've learned - a carrot is not a carat.
Just like a dog is not a rabbit.
At first I felt deluded.
A bowl of goodies I anticipated.
But, sparkly things caught my gaze.
Suddenly it was the focus and rage.
If you can't eat it,
why so fascinated?
If it doesn't get into your tummy,
why pay so much for it, dummy?
If I could, I'd make this world full of vegetation.
It'd be so much better, I don't understand your hesitation.
There'd be carrots everywhere and food for all.
And mankind and bunnies would be happy after all.
Why do you spend your money on the unnecessary?
And then be anxious after inviting the complexities!
Listen to me.
Maybe then you'll see.
A simple life is the key.
Look at me - I'm so happy.
When you learn to let few things go,
the difference you shall know.
True, I'm just a little bunny.
And all this may sound a bit funny.
I do not hold a masters degree.
From any fancy university.
But, look at me I am sorted.
Not in the ways of the world, knotted.
All I do is eat and play.
That is by far, most of my day.
Sure, I'm just a prey animal.
But, somehow I managed survival.
Even the mighty mammoth is extinct.
And the brainy T-Rex, not in our world's precinct.
I made it this far.
I'm cuter than your car.
I'm soft and cuddly.
And definitely fuzzy.
So, please try and listen.
This little advice, and life will glisten.
It's not about fame or position.
That is, most of my wisdom.
Sure, ten carrots are better than two.
But, if that makes your life a zoo,
Certain, you want it?
Is it really worth it?
A lot of things come with age.
Maybe you'll figure it out in a later page.
But, little bunny don't lie.
And even time just flies.
Oh sweetie, nobody is to blame.
You and me, our priorities just aren't the same.
Maybe one day you'll reminisce.
Words of this funny-bunny, you may miss.

Bunnies have two track minds: food and making more bunnies. Your poem does the food track honor.

Hahahahhahaha. Absolutely, agreed.
I was avoiding that bit.
I was aiming at a very decent and innocent poem.
But what’s true is true.
If you look at it – bunnies really do have it all. They’re living it up! …the good life!

Bunnies are happy. We had a black Rex bunny adopt us several years ago. It was very playful and so soft.

Nothing in life is simple.
Yet nothing in life has to be so complicated.
It’s only a matter of perception.
And sometimes, even your determination.
Sure, there’ll be circumstances.
But often, you’ll get crossroads to decide your stances.
Concur?
