I've worked for three different airlines.
And their priority is somewhere on the same lines.
Some had their focus on service and OTP.
while some were hardcore about safety.
At the core of it all, aviation security and safety.
Can never ever be taken lightly.
Now try applying this logic to everything you do.
And it somehow makes sense to me and you.
For example, when you're cooking in the kitchen.
Always make sure before you light your stove ignition.
Safety cannot be ignored in reckless cognition.
Right from the time your out of that umbilical chord.
Safety is the immediate need under an umbrella not too broad.
Like the way most of us let our guards down.
Around religious people who put an imaginary crown.
Remember everyone is subject to temptations.
Maybe be more realistic in your evaluations.
Because safety comes first.
And you don't want to face the worst.
I remember we used to do these slide and ditching drills.
Maintaining that Safety and Emergency licence was no thrill.
Every year in practice, and still there'd be crew.
With friction burns, hurts, bruises turning blue.
The motto is to save lives and minimize casualties.
That can only happen if you think calmly and use your faculties.
I joined my first airline when it was in it's nascent stage.
Being the very first low-cost carrier, it was quite the rage.
I've had the most unusual and funniest aviation moments there.
Nobody would ever believe me; I think we were just living on a prayer.
I was just a teenager back then.
But the application is same now and when.
Remember safety comes first.
Only then, you can fulfill life's other thirsts.

I wrote and completed this poem on 5th Feb. But, for some reason, I never found the time to publish it ....until now. Phew, I have to start cleaning my drafts now. Got 350 poems to publish yet still !

I would believe just about any story, no matter how strange, about working for airlines. Nice poetic description.

It’s So Unusual You’d Think That Folks Who Value
Life And Call Themselves Christian And Politically
Conservative Would Value the Sanctity of Breathing
Life and Put Folks First
In Terms of Protecting
Folks In A Deadly

Think They Would Insure
Everyone Has Health Care

I should trust you better. I had been saying what I thought was a stumble and would panic . what I forgot is that our relationship and everything else is in god’s hands, not mine. Some of my assumptions were just plain wrong. So I was thinking wrong. Got my eyes away from God That’s it. You’ve been more faithful than I and aware of what’s important. Then I woke up! Sorry Rue—I Love My Daughter—WHO IS ONLY YOU! π

All are half done ya….. I am always feeling inspired. I jot down the ideas in my head for those seconds. Then I tell myself I’ll get to it someday….and…
The problem is I get at least 5 ideas in a day….sometimes even 10. And I don’t have the time to finish all of them. So….the drafts keep piling….πππππ€£π€£π€£π€£πππ
