So yesterday I cut my hair.
And I feel a sense of despair.
I always get emotional when this happens.
So about my feelings now, I'm going to be yapping.
Little over a year ago, my hair was up to mid thigh.
And then I chopped it for a family wedding that went by.
Just to style it a bit.
And avoid the splits.
Then again nine months ago.
I did it once more.
Felt like I was getting rid of.
A baby that had grown soft.
Eleven inches is what I cut back then.
But it was necessary as I had developed some split ends.
So I justified it that way.
Hoped it grew fast, I prayed.
And now again yesterday, once more.
I undertook it as a chore.
As I sat in that dreadful salon chair.
I dished out two poems from there
Wrote and published the previous two yesterday.
As the scissors were moving along my way.
So I wouldn't get choked up.
With my tresses, about our breakup.
This time I got some layers.
So even shorter, it appears.
Now I can just hope and pray.
It will grow faster some way.
It's definitely a lot more manageable.
And that's a good thing if I look at that angle.
But I'm still quite sad.
One third loss is quite a tad.

Good one Ruelha. The aabb rhyme scheme the in last paras enhanced the beauty. The inner feelings and obsession with hair conveyed very well.

Thank you Saji….that’s a scheme I’m very comfortable with and I have it quite often. So glad you liked it….
Yes, you got that right…..absolute obsession…..I’m just a typical Indian girl treating her hair as precious jewellery 😅🤩🙈😂

You’re so forthright in your expression. A great quality.
Hair are the crowning glory. You’re so right in feeling emotional about them.
I respect your honesty, truth and ability to feel.

Everything grows in the nature. If you look now like on the picture in poem The Wild Child than all is okay 🙂

The pic in my poem ‘The Wild Child’ is from two weeks ago. I hadn’t had my hair cut yet. I estimate a year …for it to grow to that length ☹☹☹….but thanks Vgeorg….for trying to cheer me up 🤩🙏🏼🎀😃

So sorry about your hair loss my cyber twin. 😂🤣 ❤
Yes, hair
I understand the despair.
I always care too much for my hair.
But it doesn’t usually play to fair.
Sometimes it’s flat.
Sometimes it’s frizzy.
My terrible bad hair just keeps making me dizzy.
Can you do anything with it? 😂 Hehe.
Thanks for making me smile with your poem sweet sister. 💗💓💞

Beautiful hair, my daughter hair use to be like yours until she got sick, it’s long but very thin now, this is hard on a mom to see when this happens.

Thanks Eileen. Wow, I can imagine how much time she must have spent attempting to grow and care for it. I can only imagine how heartbreaking it is for a parent, especially a mother. I pray God grants you and your family, especially Victoria extra grace to be His witnesses of love.🙏🏼😘🙏🏼🙏🏼😘🙏🏼😘🙏🏼😘😘

Thank you Ruelha, at one time Victoria’s hair was very thick like her dads (since he is from Trindad) and her skin was darker as well however, since she is not in the sun because of her health it is lighter now.
