Candy, the honey bee went out to see.
Everyday sat on flowers and gathered honey.
Yellow and black, this uniform he wore.
Filled his pouches with nectar till they were sore.
When he gathered enough in a day.
He'd come back home and cook away.
In a long process, making honey from nectar.
While the queen sat inside with her scepter.
Candy was just another bee.
Daily, this routine life, he'd see.
Nothing new, nothing fancy.
Just housework and gathering honey.
But one fine day, he returned home.
Realized that the hive he had called his own.
Was not to be found anywhere.
The queen and his friends, nobody was there.
Where must Candy rest his head?
And where must he sleep, on which bed?
And all of the honey for years he collected?
The hive and home that he built and protected?
And so Candy began to piece his life together.
With integrity and not asking any favours.
Didn't look at the tree that held.
The last hive that broke and fell.
On his own, Candy all alone.
This little bee grew a backbone.
From pillar to post, he buzzed away.
And made a life worth living till today.
Honeybees live in large organized family groups.
Each one has a post and part to play as a troup.
So this lone bee, unexpected to survive.
Somehow Candy did manage to thrive.
Slowly-slowly, he gathered nectar.
Each and every flower in his sector.
He was just a collector.
But he learned to be a builder.
Built his own tiny hive.
The winter months to survive.
Candy was now on a roll.
Managed to keep everything in control.
Who would've thought this little Candy,
would one day become so capable and handy?
Independent and sprung from the ground,
when the situation arose, he turned things around.

Much to learn from the perspective of a honeybee! Thanks, Ruelha!

Aah…..somethings to learn there too…
Like a children poem ….was hoping to get into that zone…
Or maybe should have made it more happy than a moral story ….
But here’s to the honeybees…..ππππππ

It was perfect this way!, dear one! It made me remember how all of our lives (of all beings) are totally dependent on the Lord (alone). As a human, we’d think we are taking care of ourselves but it was the Grace from the Beyond that works inside us. We should remain humble and grateful. And the trials should be faced π

Nice tribute to our busy little bee buddies. We have lots of honey bees on our flowering plants in the spring, summer and fall.

We also have a lot of native bees, which are much better pollinators than honey bees, but you don’t get honey from the native bees.

Honey bees are problematic for native species of bees.
