Merry Christmas with Jesus

I'm not really wishing.
Exchanging hugs and kissing.
I'm not going out of my way.
On this specific day.

Barely any decorations.
Made no fancy preparations.
No new gown today.
Like the fun old days.

I stopped distributing goodies.
So I don't have anymore Christmas cookies.
I didn't target a basket of sweets.
For a specific date or deadline to meet.

Christmas, like the last half decade.
Is just in my heart, unlike a charade.
No more big fancy show.
No longer celebrating with gusto.

It's like those years just disappeared.
And Christmas became personal or weird.
Long ago Christmas felt like a holiday.
Something to fuss over, sing and dance and play.

So if you're alone this Christmas.
Just remember it's all about Jesus.
It's not about the glitter and cheer.
Even if you've got absolutely nobody near.

It's about the peace in the silence.
While living on a marooned island.
It's about hearing and discerning.
And not being offended with the disturbing.

Christmas is not just a day.
Of life and living, but a way.
Jesus in your heart.
Let's focus on Him this year; let's start.

Merry Christmas,
Because of Jesus.

With Jesus.

In Jesus.

    1. I think as a hobby He’d go fishing/ do magic tricks/ be a part-time handyman/ be a sand artist/ maybe just stick to his roots of carpentry and carve some swanky stuff…🤩😜🤩
