Vaadi Herbals Chocolate and Mint Soap Review

Pricing: This soap is priced at the same rate as most regular soaps in the market. It costs INR 48 for 75gms. It is really not expensive at all unlike any other handmade soap. And to be honest, I got it at a lesser price, about 40 bucks due to some discount coupons. So yay!

Packaging: The packaging is very good. The soap is first cling-wrapped. Then it is put in a custom sized flap-openable plastic case which is enveloped by a strong rectangular paper box that you see in these pictures.

Ingredients: Cocoa Butter (Theobroma Cacao), Steam Distilled Extract of Mint (Mentha Piperita Leaf), Olive Oil (Olea Europaea), Coconut Oil Derivative ( Cocos Nucifera Oil), Palm Kernel Oil ( Astrocaryum Vulgare Kernel Oil), Calendula Oil (Calendula Officinalis), DM Water (Aqua)

Physical Attributes: The soap is divided into two equal portions. One is supposed to be the chocolate side, while the other is the minty side. If you look up their website or any place where this soap is sold, you will see pictures depicting a half brown side while the other side is a creamish colour. But I got two distinct shades of brown and the whole thing smells rather chocolatey. I purchased it from a registered authorized dealer so I’m pretty certain this product is an original. But 🙃🤷‍♀️

Claims: A double-action soap, it cleanses and deeply moisturizes your face simultaneously. The fatty acids of cocoa provide the necessary moisturizing; while mint relieves skin congestion and facilitates moisture penetration into the deeper layers of the skin; keeping your skin soft and supple. Chocolate or Cocoa with its heavenly aroma calms the senses while its powerful ingredients work on the deep layer level to moisturize the skin. It cures inflammations, allergies, rashes, irritations as well as dry patches by deep nourishment. The skin is velvety soft and all the more confident to be flaunted without any make up. It radiates the inner beauty with regular use of chocolate. A thoroughly moisturized skin is far off from wrinkles, fine lines, blemishes and scars. The skin enjoys a renewed elasticity and a healthy glow. Preventing the skin from flaking and rejuvenates from within gifting a texture everyone would be envy of. Stretch marks and scars too fade away. Listed as “Menthe” in many products, this cooling aromatic ingredient has more to it than its soothing effect and pleasant refreshing taste. Mint improves the skin’s texture, tones it and deeps moisturizes the skin. Mint is an anti-pruritic agent, which means mint’s juices calm itchy, irritated skin which is suffering from any kind of allergy, inflammation (from mosquito, bees or wasp bites) or just braving the extreme heat or cold conditions. Rich in Vitamin A. Mint cures rashes, wounds and it’s high content of salicylic acid makes it a great natural astringent. It regulates the oil production by the sebaceous glands, preventing pimples, tough acne and excess oiliness or dryness. Mint helps in skin renewal as the salicylic acid helps get rid off the dead cells. It unclogs pores making it easier for the essential ingredients to get absorbed in the skin faster and work their magic to give you a fresh, supple and infection-free skin.

Observations:

  • This soap smells exactly like delicious hot chocolate. If you’re expecting gourmet chocolate aromas, try something more expensive maybe. But this chocolate milk-like soap is plesant and fragrant. I like it.
  • It’s not overtly strong or overpowering or lingering.
  • It lathers well.
  • Does not feel too dry after use. Remember although it’s slightly mild, it’s still soap, not a moisturizer.
  • Contains the goodness of a blend of essential oils.
  • 100% organic
  • Paraben free
  • Cruelty free
  • Not tested on animals
  • 100% chemical free (as claimed by the company)

Verdict: This is definitely a good soap which is nice and fragrant. It is a quality product that is available at such a cheap price. Handmade soaps and fragrant soaps are usually very expensive. But a good handmade soap like this at the price of a regular soap is just too good. I usually don’t purchase handmade soaps because they’re just too expensive. But I will definitely buy this again and try out some more from their vast range.
