I will make you fishers of men

Ruelha 
To be fishers of men,
to the ends I will send,
you out one day.
But first, you must pray. 
Put on the complete armour.
With faith, watch out for his archers.
The god of this age,
with him war you must wage.
Blinded their minds, he has,
with all kinds of ridiculous jazz.
But, this sword, I give to you.
Soul and spirit, it cuts through.
The soul, the deceiver can blind.
But, with these Words, the spirit will find,
the glory of the gospel's light.
Taming flesh and soul to be right.
The light has dawned. 
It is time to respond,
to the voice within you,
and spread the peace that's true.
If rooted in agape love,
with the grace of the dove,
when you cast that net,
it will always be a guaranteed bet.
Because, alert and active is He.
To perform and fulfill it, He constantly sees.
The net shall not return void.
Have faith in the one who hast employed.

It is my desire to study the four gospels. Writing poems helps me put some thought into it thereby making it fun to learn and remember. I was stuck on the book of Matthew for years and never really completed more than the first five chapters until I began writing ‘the Matthew Series‘. Now, I’m revising the contents of the book of Mathew by writing another series of poems titled ‘Inspired by Matthew‘. This one will not be as comprehensive as ‘the Matthew Series’ and may not be in an orderly sequence. This particular poem is the ninth in the series.   2. Love your poem little sister. Jesus took uneducated men and trained them to go out and start the church. It changed the world. God does not call the qualified. He qualifies the called.
