Physical attributes: This lip balm comes packaged in a user friendly twist up bullet lipstick style tube. It is housed in a plastic container. The quality is good. The balm itself is white in colour and is fragrance free. It has no flavour and is mildly glossy.
Pricing: A twist up tube containing 4.8gm of product costs INR 140 at present. That is less than $2. So, it’s definitely fairly priced.
Ingredients: The star ingredient here is shea butter followed by Octyldodecanol, Hydrogenated Rapeseed Oil, Ricinus Communis Seed Oil, Cera Alba, Ethylhexyl Stearate, Cetyl Palmitate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Polyglyceryl-3 Diisostearate, Copernicia Cerifera Cera, Butyrospermum Parkii Butter, Persea Gratissima Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil, Aqua, BHT, Limonene, Linalool, Citronellol, Aroma. This lip balm does not contain mineral oil at all which is a relief.
Claims: Nivea claims their lip balm will keep your lips moisturized for an entire day, 24hours to be precise. Whaaaaa-aaa-aaat!
Experience:
- It is definitely user friendly and simple, has a mess-free, hygienic application style that does not involve dipping your fingers into some tiny pot. Open-twist-use-twist-close.
- Easy to store and carry in your handbag. Light weight and travel friendly.
- Affordable.
- Does what ot claims. Provides moisture to lips for long.
- Does not have any tint so it is gender neutral and anybody can use it at anytime- day/night.
- Easily available.
- Very good for dry or chapped lips.
- Keeps lips soft and supple.
- Not sticky.
- Glossy finish.
- Fragrance and flavour free(They do have some other variants available in different fruity flavors which are slightly higher priced than this one.)
- There are very few lip balms that contain SPF. This isn’t one of them. But that also increases the shelf life of this product.
Verdict: This is a good inexpensive lip balm that is suitable for all age groups and is gender neutral.
