The heart of it all

I see this as an opportunity.
Oh Lord, create in we,
a clean new heart,
that from You will never depart.

One that will love You, Lord,
and confess that You are God,
with all our heart, soul and mind.
No longer to remain blind.

Break and remove the heart of stone.
And give a heart for love alone.
A heart of flesh,
to start afresh.

The broken hearted, He heals.
A new heart Lord, no pain to feel.
He binds up old wounds,
ones that keep us bitter and marooned.

Lord, you promised a new heart,
one that worldly things cannot pervert.
Put inside a new spirit,
that follows only Your lyric.

Lord, I don't know Your ways.
But, remembering Joseph and those days.
Sold by his own brothers.
Meant to bring him down and suffer.

I trust in You, Oh Lord.
Let us be Your humble stewards,
and lean not on our own understanding,
of constant anxious, meticulous planning.

Oh Lord God, mighty creator.
Let us not be your debaters.
A new heart, oh Lord,
and a steadfast spirit be the spinal cord.

The flesh and heart may fail.
Things be moving as fast as snail.
But of this new heart, God is the strength,
and my portion forever to whatever extent.

It was a fool's heart that did insist,
a hardend heart claimed God didn't exist.
But the Lord is forgiving and merciful.
And with Him all things become possible.
Against Him we have rebelled.
With pride, we were swelled.

By His wounds, we have been healed.
On the cross, this contract was sealed,
with His blood. An heir not forsaken.
In the matchless name, the ministers of salvation.
Ministering spirits, come unto me.
Your assistance, I invoke thee.

He promised me a new heart.
Old already broken, part by part.
A new spirit,
as promised, within it.

You will seek me and find me,
when you search with all your heart, the key.
Let us see and taste,
our lives not put to waste,
the goodness of our God.
Like Paul, Your praises forever applaud.

He was wounded for our transgressions.
Through divine exchange, I claim protection.
A pierced heart, blood and water gushed forth,
to transform this heart, a spirit rebirth.

The body belongs to me.
I exercise my authority.
And all things work for my good.
Loving the source, through Him, so should.

Please fill this new heart with humble dependence,
to trust not in our worldly possessions.
Create in we a clean heart,
one from You that will never depart.

Fill this heart with agape love.
Completely surrounded, a well-fitted glove.
Nothing in between to separate.
Self-control, only more of the Father, it craves.

Peace and joy.
Serenity to enjoy.
With faith, charity and patience,
to become more e and more fragrant.
Good, gentle and kind.
No longer in spirit, be blind.

Break and remove the heart of stone.
And give a heart for love alone.
Denying the flesh,
to start afresh.

  1. So beautiful Ruelha. ❀ I need all of those words, but lately I really need these ones:

"I trust in You, Oh Lord.
Let us be Your humble stewards,
and lean not on our own understanding,
    of constant anxious, meticulous planning."

Mmmmhmmm. That's the second time I have recieved that message today. Think maybe the Lord is trying to get this through to me?" Thanks for sharing. ❀

I’m so glad something in this poem resonates with you….
I am pretty much a dodo at discerning the Spirit’s call….but two times ….same message…seems like there’s something in it for you πŸ˜˜πŸ’ŸπŸŽ€πŸ˜˜πŸ’ŸπŸŽ€.
Take care ….have a beautifully blessed and carefree day Tina.
