Pray vs Say

Ruelha, 
When you're all alone,
    and can't get anyone on the phone,
         you pray!

When you are dealing with
     something that's not a myth,
          you say!

You talk to God;
    but you tell the devil.
Pray to God;
    but say to the devil.

You pray with hope and faith.
   You pray with love, and can even debate!
But when you say,
   don't ask if you may! 

When you say, you command -
  mighty mountains, to fall to the ground.
'Say', it's an order!
    The boss doesn't hide and quiver.

When he speaks,
   the whole department listens.
       There is no resistance!

Of course, you may hate your boss
     But his instructions, 
you cannot from the window toss!

You pray with submission.
    But you say with authority.
Prayer can be just conversation.
    But you say, knowing your superiority!

When you pray, you must also listen...
     to the voice without resistance. 
When you say, you must ignore...
     all the voices that bark and roar!

When you pray, you are loading your guns
     and doing a refresher course.
When you say, you are actually dealing with your problems 
     and fighting them at the source!

There is a time to pray.
   And a time to say.
      Each one serves a purpose, in it's own way.

But remember, when you say,
    you do it in faith.
Don't be at all nervous 
    to shut their gates!

But, in order to say,
    you must first pray.
Because, if you don't pray,
    how will you have the confidence to say?

You must live in communion,
    in the body of Christ you must have union.
You must be in one accord,
    with the almighty Lord our God.
