I see God.
They all say my vision is flawed.
I still see God in the midst of this system-so-flawed.
He is not waiting to perform,
or for a prophet to bloom and transform.
Even in the midst of your storm,
you must not conform.
To the standards of this world,
almost a mirror image of the netherworld.
For you and me, we are the body of Christ.
It is up to us, to spread His light.
I still see God,
all around me. Even through the sod,
these are but opportunities,
to reflect His love within your communities.
Before money and gold,
Lo! They behold.
Bow down to his feet,
this ancient stronghold.
Monkey see; monkey do.
Brother killing brother too.
I'm not just talking petty thief.
Deception to the levels of absolutely no relief.
I see God.
They all say my vision is flawed.
I still see God in the midst of all this fraud.
Over land and territory,
our God, not yours - we'll kill for his glory.
Arrogance and pride,
that horse they ride.
Look at their mentors.
Rich men and Bollywood actors!
Is there such thing as a righteous politician?
Good luck finding one, if that is your mission!
Lynched and tortured, gang raped and murdered.
If you stand up for a cause, the damage will be incurred.
I see God.
They all say my vision is flawed.
I still see God in the midst of all this fraud.
Little children caught in human trafficking.
Molesting their own young, so mentally and emotionally damaging.
Porn and prostitution.
Still none of these looking for absolution.
Not just men, but there are women using their sexuality,
to climb the corporate ladder, this is the present reality.
Sleeping with your best friend's spouse.
Being a homewrecker you're no longer considered a mouse.
I see God.
They all say my vision is flawed.
I still see God in the midst of Lucifer's applaud.
Families are collapsing.
Old parents nobody is financing.
And those that are young,
have such a sharp tongue.
Depression is everywhere.
Lonely, hungry souls weeping in despair.
Suicide is such a common thought.
If you're able to fight it, it's like a jackpot.
No patience, and instant gratification,
such are the characteristics of today's generation.
I see God.
They all say my vision is flawed.
Because I still see God in the midst of this facade.

I mean, why are there no righteous politicians?

I guess even the ones that start out with good intent gradually get frustrated with the system that does not permit them to achieve anything good….
It’s difficult to row against the tide. Always comes at a price…..not just politicians….everyone faces these choices.
But when the environment itself is like hell and bad things and abominations are just normal, slowly people get desensitized and get sucked into that way of life which becomes their new ‘normal’.
I guess that is why it is more difficult to quit smoking/drugs/alcohol than to just refuse your first sip at all. More difficult for people in industries like film, politics, marketing and sales etc to do justice within their job…. to safeguard your integrity, you should be willing to accept losses ….and they might not always necessarily be monetary.

Thank you soooo much Jonathan for reblogging and sharing this poem. I’m just trying to share my feelings and experiences as I began my journey of seeking God. I’m not there yet and I don’t think there will ever really be an end point because there is so much to discover….and I’m in such a nascent stage….such a rookie….but it’s a wonderful journey.
Have a beautifully blessed week πβοΈπππ€
