Review: Loreal Revitalift Laser X3 Night Cream-Mask

Pricing: I purchased this cream in January this year. It retails for INR 1400 for a 50ml glass jar and I paid full price for it. But, they did give me another cream worth INR599 for free. The one I received is manufactured in Indonesia.

Ingredients in Loreal Revitalift Laser X3 Night Cream Mask

Physical Attrihutes and Fragrance: I fell in love with it instantly. It has a lovely texture and consistency. It is not too heavy like a cold cream or even like most night creams. It is not a gel or serum either. It feels like a love-child of a gel and a night cream. It gets absorbed quite instantly if you use a normal amount. If you are accustomed to heavy night creams like me, just be generous with the application. The scent is lovely.

Experience: In a few uses itself, I was able to see noticeable changes in my skin. I am very impressed with this cream and will definitely keep repurchasing this product until they discontinue it or come up with something better. Although it is not rich in texture, when I wake up in the morning, my skin feels hydrated and happy. It is noticeably plumper and feels more elastic. When I wash my face, my face feels nice and taut and gets an increadible luminescence – almost like a natural highlighter. This effect lasts about an hour at maximum. I am not sure if there is any product that you can purchase on the counter that has the capacity to erase wrinkles; but, this product makes the wrinkles appear lesser. At least, that is my observation. For my skin, it works by plumping it up and filling in the wrinkles a bit so the creases are less visible or conspicuous. It does irritate my eyes if I apply it around my eyes. It makes me all teary-eyed. But, that’s just my own fault. I keep applying it there when they have a separate eye cream from the same range. So, don’t be lazy like me. Use a different eye cream. It has made my skin a lot brighter too. I have a tendency to shift a shade up and down through the year. I wear NC25(MAC) in winters and NC30 during summers usually or shuttle between W3 and W4 in L’Oreal and so on. You get the point. I’m like a chameleon; it’s normal for W4 to make me look really dull at some times and at other times W3 makes me look like I dipped my face in white toothpaste. But, regular use of this cream has definitely brightened my face to the extent that my regular shade of Soft Sand (Bobbi Brown) has become a tad dark and dull for me so I have to use the lightest shade Pale Yellow instead. Ditto for Maybelline. What I’m ineffectively trying to convey is that this cream has brightened my complexion to the extent that I’m not just one but – two shades lighter in my regular makeup. The stuff I have doesn’t match me perfectly anymore. I do not promote skin lightening products, but I do like products that brighten my complexion. This makes me look pink and translucent at times…at least a few hours post washing my face in the morning. I think it is the presence of pro retinol that creates this effect. It’s just so lovely to wake up to plumpy, bouncy skin.

L’Oreal Revitalift range that I own

Verdict: I like this night cream a lot. I have been using this for about 9 months, on-and-off. It is one of my favourite skincare products at present. I will continue repurchasing this night cream as long as it is in production…..or they come up with something more advanced.

I hope my review and experience helps you make an informed decision. This is not a paid review. This cream was purchased by me for my personal use. It may work differently for different people. Do share your experience with me if you tried this product or intend to buy it sometime. I’d love to hear from you.

Stay Beautiful, Inside Out!
